The Mess (A.K.A. Living the Good Life)

My life, as it usually seems to be, is rather busy (and don’t get me wrong, I wouldn’t have it any other way).  Between my full-time job, finishing grad school, this crazy writing thing, and keeping my toddler alive, my life is a wonderful mess.  So this is a small update of where I have been, since I haven’t been around here every day.

Grad School

Great news here!  :)  I’m just a few weeks away from being finished, wrapped up, all done!  (I’m a bit psyched about this, can’t you tell?)  I’m currently in my final entrepreneurship class, which is being taught by Michael Coles (founder Great American Cookie Company and later CEO of Caribou Coffee).  It has been an amazing class, and I’m glad I stayed around to take it.  Some of the guest speakers have been Joe Rogers from Waffle House, Bob Hope who made Ted Turner famous, and Arthur Blank from Home Depot / Atlanta Falcons.  I’ll have some of my notes ready to share later this week… and I just have my business plan left to finish. >_<

The Dreamless City

The rough draft of Nissa, Daschel, and Reynard is still a rough draft.  I did some revisions on it last month, but I’m hoping fresh eyes on it in May will take it to the next level.  What would be awesome, wouldn’t it?

Book Two is in the works.  I have been participating in Camp NaNoWriMo and getting words on the page as fast as possible.  It is a big, ugly, glorious mess, and I’m so glad to see some of Nissa’s continuing adventures.

Foundry Moth Short Story Project

Finally got the next section of our Foundry Moth Short Story Collaboration Extravaganza posted yesterday.  Sorry to drag everyone through my long process of ditherification where I couldn’t decide whether to shoot Tesla’s papa.  What, you didn’t read it yet?  You really should head over to the post, read up, and vote.  I promise to do better next time.

Sweetpea

My toddler is alive and well.  She has not managed to fling herself from anything or pull anything down on top of her, but there’s still daylight left today…

Soundtrack for My Life

And here’s a song to keep you going through the rest of your Tuesday, enjoy!!
