Music is a huge part of my creative process, whether it is grooving in the car thinking up new ideas or playing the same songs over and over to catch a mood for a particular scene. Sometimes I obsess on a song for weeks at a time. With time being such a precious commodity, music shortcuts the time for me to get in “the writing zone.”

Listening to “Sirens” by Pearl Jam (yeah, what a flashback to my school days)
Just added Dr. Dog’s “Broken Heart”
“Wings” by HAERT (yes, I did spell that right) was a new discovery this week
Enjoying “Come a Little Closer” by Cage the Elephant
Gonna be a great weekend in the South. Before I get back to my writing, which takes place on a dark and sooty night, I’ll be grooving to some less moody tunes.
