Happy Holiday Weekend

Been an amazing weekend so far.  I managed to get some sun on my shoulders, and I’m no longer worried about blinding people with the whiteness of my legs.  I have vanquished the tone of my Medusa-like skin.  xD

We’ve had perfect weather in ATL this weekend.  Went to the park with Sweetpea, made a trip to Target, and played with water, chalk, three kinds of bubbles, screwdrivers, shoes, bottles, push carts, riding cars, the stroller, and the dog… and that’s just the stuff we did outside!  Needless to say, my daughter has been very busy.

Here’s Sweetpea doing some power training.  She has to work on her muscle tone, so we add stuff from the pantry to her carts when she is pushing her bunny doll around.  She wanted to open the chicken broth afterwards, and I had to explain to her that chicken juice didn’t taste good.  She accepted milk and a banana as a reasonable substitute.

I also got four pages written long-hand today, so I figure that’s around 1200 words.  I don’t usually worry about word count, but I need to up my writing output.  I haven’t been performing up to my expectations now that I have wrapped up grad school.  There’s so much I want to write about Rivenloss, but I haven’t been working as hard on it as I could on my steampunk stories.

Sorry this post is on the light side, but I’m going to aim to get more words on the page before I turn into a pumpkin at midnight.  :D  That’s right, I’m the princess in my own fairytale.  ;)  Just remember to not burn the burgers or your noses during your Monday holiday tomorrow.
